This is a panorama of three HDR shots I took during a trip to Death Valley National Park. This shot was taken just off the side of the road several miles south of Badwater Basin. When I go on trips I try to avoid returning the way I came, which is how I got this shot. To get to Death Valley from Las Vegas involves traveling into and through Pahrump to access Bell Vista which leads you to Death Valley. After a day of hiking, I chose to leave by traveling south on Badwater Road which turns into CA-178 which leads to Pahrump. Along the way the clouds and the setting sun combined to create what you see here. Unable to resist, I pulled over, unpacked my tripod, and shot until the best light was completely gone.
