Something a little different from me tonight. After grabbing the previous Byways IR shots I grabbed my color camera, put on my 50 mm f/1.8 and gave it a go. I set the lens wide open and used the nearest reflector as my focusing point. With all the different textures and layers to this I though that a very narrow focus would help to simplify the scene while also making it feel more intimate and closed in. I accentuated this when I processed it by adding vignettes and blurs. Overall I’m pretty happy with the results of my little experiment. I have another shot which is very similar to this that I plan on sharing in the next couple weeks (map).
