Here we have a photo looking east from “Little Zion” which is located in the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area. This shot is not your typical Red Rock Canyon photo. To get to this location you have to drive west on NV 160 towards Pahrump. Well before Pahrump there is the small community of Mountain Springs. It is from here that you must hike north and east to the ridge line. Once there you continue due north until you reach this area. It has earned the name “Little Zion” for its similarity to Zion National Park. The Las Vegas Strip is barely visible in the distance along the left side. The largest and left most black box is the now defunct Fountainebleau Resort, the smaller black boxes to the right are Wynn and Encore, and the sliver of white to the left of Fountainebleau is the famous Stratosphere.
