This is another shot from my photo walk on the Las Vegas Strip. From my previous vantage point looking at the Palazzo I turned around and saw the setting sun start to warm up the Wynn and Encore hotels. These two hotels, some of newer on the strip, are already warm enough without the setting sun. They are both clad in beautiful copper glass that on its own can be amazing. Throw in a good sunset and this is the result.
What you see is a three shot (+2, 0, -2) HDR combined using Photomatix. I used a neutral processing in Photomatix and then finished up in Photoshop. I really wanted to make the clouds and the reflection really pop while contrasting against each other, the cool sky and warm reflection/glass. As I mentioned earlier I was extremely lucky to have some excellent clouds in the sky to break up the sea of blue that is more normal for Las Vegas.
