As I mentioned earlier, after Needles I had proceeded west along Interstate 40 and exited to follow US-95 to connect up with a pre-1931 alignment of Route 66. This pre-1931 alignment would take me over to the ghost town of Goffs, CA. I had spotted this old relic via Google’s Street View and knew I wanted to make a stop there. Once I arrived I took my time checking out the old general store trying to get a feel for it. The property is riddled with “No Trespassing” signs so I tried my best to be conscious of where I went in order to avoid a confrontation with any locals (map).
