After enjoying the afternoon in Arches we turned south to head back to our hotel in Monticello. Along the way I chose to make a quick detour out some isolated road that appeared to go out to the middle of no where. After a 20 or so mile drive from the main highway we came across this amazing area named Needles Overlook. We hung around taking in the few for a bit before heading back to the car. On the way back I spotted this tree coming up out of the top of the rock. I grabbed some shots of it from further away then I spotted the moon and knew the shot I wanted (Google Map).
