After driving several miles, if traveling from north to south, you eventually emerge from the deep forest to a wide open meadow which also serves as home to the Prairie Creek State Park Visitor’s Center. An absolutely beautiful area of the park. It’s common to spot groups of deer and other animals along this stretch. Thankfully none were out to bother me this day, but still got an amazing shot (map).
