Eastern Redbud I

Eastern Redbud IOne of the advantages of working where I do is I get the advantage of seeing beautiful things like this every spring.  I was walking between buildings a few days ago and spotted this Eastern Redbud just exploding in pink.  At the time I didn’t have my camera.  The next day; however, I made sure to have my camera at the ready.  I chose to capture this with an old Vivitar 35mm M24 mount lens.  Really hard to get things in focus with this lens, but the combination of the 60D’s Live View function and an install of Magic Lantern make it much easier.  Far from my usual fan fare, but I still enjoy photographing beauty wherever I find it.  Have one more of this tree, but from a different angle, for Wednesday.
