Time to get back to some Byways images. I mentioned on Friday that you would be seeing those Mexican Fan Palms again and here they are. After taking the previous photo, I swapped out lenses in order to get this wide angle shot. As you can see this group of palms really do stand out against the desert backdrop. I also like the way the highway cuts through the frame and hooks at the end. Again this is along old Route 66 just west of Needles, California (map).
