Continuing our way east along Utah State Route 12 we stopped at Escalante Petrified Forest State Park for a hike through an amazing small state park. The amount of petrified wood along the trail was remarkable. When we finished we went a a little further east and spotted a pull-out and scenic overlook named Head of the Rocks Overlook. Stopping to take some shots of the open country side I captured this (Google Map).
